Way back in September 2020, Rollercoaster 3: The Complete Edition was released onto the Nintendo Switch by the then owners Frontier Developments. Since Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: The Complete Edition was released, the ownership of Rollercoaster Tycoon has been sold by Frontier Developments to Atari.
Atari have now announced that Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic is to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on 5th December 2024. Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic is not just the first game in the series, but also its successor.
