With less than a month to go until the new year kicks in, it is no surprise to see the big console players start to move their marketing strategy from pushing systems for the holidays to instead what’s coming to their platforms in 2025.
Sony has today launched a trailer celebrating a number of the big games coming to the PlayStation 5 in 2025, from both first party and third party.
Some of the titles shown in the short trailer include Ghost of Yotei and Death Stranding 2, both of which are PlayStation 5 console exclusive for the time being though we expect a PC port within the next couple of years and an Xbox release for the latter at some stage in the future.
Surprisingly Doom: The Dark Ages is also being showcased, a game series owned by Bethesda which itself is owned by Microsoft. It shows a lot about how things are changing between the two console competitors PlayStation and Xbox to see Doom: The Dark Ages showcased in a PlayStation trailer.
Other games that are featured include Mafia: The Old Country, Borderlands 4, Monster Hunter Wilds and Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
