Naughty Dog have spent thirty years building up a brand of developing fantastic games in all kinds of genres that always move the studio forward with forever more ambitious projects. However, it was the reveal of the first Uncharted game that released on 19th November 2007 for the PlayStation 3 that saw the biggest impact on both studio and its future direction but also the action adventure genre of games.
Since the first Uncharted back in 2007, the only other new franchise to come from Naughty Dog was The Last of Us although it was known that since 2020 a new IP was in the works.
At The Game Awards 2024, Naughty Dog finally revealed the next game franchise, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet which has no release date but will be coming to the PlayStation 5.
