Microsoft Launches Ability to Stream Purchased Xbox Games

It has been something that has been promised by Microsoft for a long while, but it is finally here. We’ll, sort of. It was always promised that one day we will be able to stream whatever games we had purchased digitally through the Xbox store through the cloud streaming service Microsoft has been steadily building upon.

At launch, there are only 50 games available to be streamed, aside from the titles on Xbox Game Pass. You will also require a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to use the streaming feature.

The following are the current 50 games available that can be streamed:

Animal Well
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Balatro
Baldur’s Gate 3
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022)

We assume that not all games will be made available through this service, especially those that have licensing in music etc that could cause problems but we hope that the list grows rapidly and that we see enough games join to make this a worthy addition to the way we can play games.
