We know that the chances are Nintendo are going to be releasing a follow up console to the crazy success Switch which launched back in March 2017. It’s almost certainly going to be a follow up to the hybrid console and possibly will just a slap also a 2 on the end of the name Switch.
The majority of rumours about when the next Switch launches will apparently be this year. That’s 2024. So let’s look at everything we know about the launch games that will be coming to the Switch 2.
All consoles launch with at least one game.
The Switch launched with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as its big day one must buy, even though it also launched on the Wii U. The Switch 2 almost certainly won’t release with a brand new Legend of Zelda game.
There will be more than one first party game releasing on the Switch 2 within the first year on sale. This is what people call the launch year.
There will likely be something Mario related within the launch year. It maybe at launch.
Mario related games could be either 3D, 2D or the next Mario Kart.
Metroid Prime 4 could be a launch game for the Switch 2 while also coming to the current Switch as Nintendo promised it will come to the current Switch console.
We know nothing about what will launch on the Switch 2.
