Another week, another new release enters the UK charts and reaches top spot. This week it’s Nintendo’s turn with Yoshi’s Crafted World, a surprise chart topper considering the more kid friendly focus and the mixed reception it has been receiving. However, we certainly cannot escape just how popular the Nintendo Switch is selling, especially in the UK which has traditionally not been a stronghold for Nintendo. This can be seen by the fact that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe still holds strong, sitting in 5th position, one up from last week.
Elsewhere in the charts, last week’s top spot, the incredibly difficult Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, has dropped to third place. Maybe Yoshi’s success is through the desire for a more laid back game after the brutal punishments of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice?
Below are are top 10 charting games in the UK for the past week. Remember that currently, the UK charts are only physical sales and do not yet account for digital sales.
