There was once a time when few big games would launch until the second half of the year, primarily in the holiday season to catch that all so lucrative spending spree. While this is still something that happens year after year, it is fantastic to see big publishers realising a whole six months that lay baron and filled with potential big sales rewards.
This week once again sees another new release take top spot as From Software’s latest brutal game to hit the stores, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, slays last week’s number one seller which has dropped two in the charts.
Grand Theft Auto V somehow still remains a top seller, and we long ago stopped counting the weeks, as it climbs up to third with Rockstar’s newer release, Red Dead Redemption 2 just behind at forth.
Elsewhere, Devil May Cry 5 has dropped right out from number 6 right the way down to number 13, an unlucky number for some. Nintendo still holds two titles in the top ten with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe climbing one spot to sixth while Super Mario Bros U Deluxe still remains at number 10.
Below are the full top ten for last week, though remember as of yet the UK charts do not include digital sales.
